Products Description
The reactive compatibilizer has groups that may interact chemically with the blend’s constituent parts and do so by forming covalent bonds during the blending process. As a result, a potent adhesive force is produced between the polymer components to provide the compatibilization effect. A compatibilizer having an epoxy group at the end is called an epoxy compatibilizer.
This product is a kind of epoxy reactive compatibilizer having high content and equivalent of epoxy group. It features high reactivity and obvious compatibiling and end capping effect, and is able to improve the thermal stability, anti-hydrolytic stability and mechanical performance. It is suitable for PC/ABS, PC/ASA, R-PC/ABS and other alloy materials having low gloss requirements.

Suggested dose:The dose (3-1096) may be increased or decreased properly according to the
toughness requirements and by taking the cost into consideration.
Packaging, storage and transportation:25 kg kraft bag with internal plastic bag. This product shall be treated as non-hazardous article and be stored or transported under dry conditions, and
sunlight and rain shall be avoided.
The compatibilizer’s mode of operation
1. During the polymer blending process, the two-phase interfaces of the polymer are enriched with a surfactant, creating a “bridge” between them, similar to the function of an emulsifier. Alternatively, the solubilizer and the two-phase polymer chemically react to entangle one another, or have two functions of emulsification and reaction at the same time, reducing interfacial tension.
2. Enhance the dispersibility of the dispersed phase in the matrix, finen and more evenly scatter the dispersed phase’s particles inside the matrix, and increase the stability of the dispersed phase and matrix structures to enhance the mechanical characteristics of the polymer blend.
3. Make the two phases of the blend more adherent, strengthen the bond between the dispersed phase and the continuous phase, and improve the ability of the various phase intervals to withstand external stress together, so that the two initially incompatible phases become a blend that is process-compatible.
