Products Description

A very effective and adaptable addition, the Polypropylene Grafting Maleic Anhydride Plastic Compatibilizer is intended to improve the compatibility and performance of polypropylene-based plastic blends. With the use of this product, producers may achieve superior mechanical qualities, increased processability, and improved product quality by overcoming the difficulties involved in mixing various types of plastics.
By serving as a link between incompatible polymers, the polypropylene grafting maleic anhydride plastic compatibilizer encourages interfacial adhesion and compatibility. In order to provide reactive sites that can interact with other polymers during melt processing, maleic anhydride is grafted onto the polypropylene backbone. The dispersion of the dispersed phase is greatly improved by this compatibilization process, resulting in improved mechanical characteristics and less phase separation.

B2 is prepared by grafting maleic anhydride to polypropylene. In the application of PP+glass fiber modification, B2 can react with the surface-treated glass fiber to improve the compatibility of PP and glass fiber, thereby improving the tensile strength and impact strength of polypropylene.

Maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (MAPP), also known as polypropylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PP-g-MAH), is a type of polymer that is produced by grafting maleic anhydride onto a polypropylene backbone. The grafting process introduces a highly polar side group (maleic anhydride) into the main chain of polypropylene, which can improve the compatibility and adhesion of polypropylene with polar materials such as wood, metals, and polymers.

MAPP has been widely used as a promoter in various applications. For example, it can be used as a coupling agent in wood-plastic composites (WPCs) to improve the adhesion between the wood fibers and the polypropylene matrix. It can also be used as a compatibilizer in blends of polypropylene with other polar polymers, such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polyamide (PA), to improve their compatibility and mechanical properties.

Overall, the use of MAPP as a promoter is a valuable application of this material that can improve the performance and properties of various materials and products.

Because it introduces a highly polar side group (maleic anhydride) into the main chain of polypropylene, maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene can be used as a promoter

The bridge of adhesion and compatibility between polar materials and non-polar materials.

Characteristic

Adding PP compatibilizer when producing filled polypropylene can greatly improve the affinity between filler and polypropylene and the dispersibility of filler. This is a low-odor PP compatibilizer, which to a certain extent meets the requirements of automobile manufacturers for the odor of automobile materials.

Advantage
  • Improved Mechanical characteristics: The Polypropylene Grafting Maleic Anhydride Plastic Compatibilizer improves the interfacial adhesion between various polymers, which improves the mechanical characteristics of the resultant blends. It is excellent for a variety of applications because to its improved tensile strength, impact resistance, and elongation at break.
  • Greater Processability: By improving the melt flow characteristics of the blended materials, the compatibilizer lowers processing challenges such melt fracture, die build-up, and insufficient melt homogeneity. Because of the increased processability as a result, manufacturing rates may be increased while using less energy.
  • Improved Product Quality: By lowering flaws such voids, delamination, and surface roughness, the Polypropylene Grafting Maleic Anhydride Plastic Compatibilizer improves product quality. This guarantees that the finished goods satisfy the necessary requirements and operate consistently.
  • Broad Compatibility: The compatibilizer works with a variety of polymers, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, and more. Due to their adaptability, producers may combine several plastic kinds to increase the number of applications and offer affordable solutions.
