POE may be applied directly to non-polar plastics like PP, PE, and EPDM rubber in the application case of POE as a non-polar and polar plastic toughening agent to increase the flexibility of the plastic matrix, elongation at break rate, and low temperature flexibility. POE, however, is a non-polar substance. It has restrictions and compatibility issues when used with polar polymers like nylon and polyester resin. In order to make POE more compatible with polar polymers, POE is frequently grafted and changed in the industrial setting. The most used technique is POE grafted maleic anhydride.
By adding a powerful polar reactive group called GMA (glycidyl methacrylate) to W5F polyester compatibilizer, which is a POE-based substance, the material has a high degree of polarity and reactivity and may be utilized for reinforcement and enhancement. The performance of a product may be effectively enhanced by the modification of polyester materials, such as toughness, filling, etc., which can also increase the compatibility of composite materials and the dispersion of fillers. Additionally, it serves as a compatibilizer for alloys like ABS/PC, PBT/PC, and others. This model’s primary strength is its good dispersion; it may be used with thin or bulky polyester materials.

Characteristic
W5F is a graft polymer containing glycidyl ester functional groups, olefin copolymer as matrix material, high reactivity, high flow characteristics, and white particle appearance.
- Reinforcement: The product’s exceptional reinforcing qualities improve polyester polycarbon materials’ mechanical strength and performance. It is appropriate for demanding applications that call for strong and long-lasting materials because it increases impact resistance, tensile strength, and dimensional stability.
- Flame Retardant Properties: The grafted polymer effectively reduces the flammability of polyester polycarbon materials by acting as a flame retardant. This element improves the overall dependability of finished goods and guarantees adherence to fire safety laws.
- The substance serves as both a compatibilizer and a toughening agent by encouraging the consistent blending and dispersion of incompatible components into polyester polycarbon composites. It also serves as a toughening agent, improving the material’s resilience to impact and fracture as well as its toughness and flexibility.
