Products Description

RM210A is a special functional masterbatch based on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

RM210A is a masterbatch made of inorganic EVA that resists acidification. It has the following properties: low addition amount, great efficiency, facile dispersion, and little effect on light transmission.

The Inorganic EVA Photovoltaic Film Anti-Acidification Masterbatch is a high-performance additive that improves the acid resistance and longevity of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) encapsulant materials used in photovoltaic (PV) modules. This novel masterbatch, distinguished by its low and extremely efficient dose, ease of dispersion, and minimal impact on transparency, tackles the problems caused by acidification in solar panels.

  • Low and efficient dosage. To achieve optimal acid resistance in EVA encapsulants, the masterbatch must be used at a low dose. This efficiency saves manufacturers money while also reducing their environmental impact.
  • Highly Efficient Acid Neutralisation: The masterbatch’s inorganic composition allows for highly efficient acid neutralisation. It effectively neutralises any acidic substances that come into touch with the EVA encapsulant, preventing acid-induced breakdown.
  • Easy Dispersion: The masterbatch is designed to disperse easily within the EVA matrix throughout the PV module production process. This ensures homogeneous distribution of anti-acidification chemicals, maximising their effectiveness.
  • Despite its acid-neutralizing characteristics, the masterbatch has no effect on the transparency of the EVA encapsulant. It maintains the optical clarity of the PV module, allowing optimum light transmission to the solar cells.
  • Enhanced Weather Resistance: The masterbatch improves the EVA encapsulant’s weather resistance, protecting it from moisture, UV radiation, and temperature variations. This resistance helps to ensure the long-term durability of the PV module.
  • Optimised Adhesion: The masterbatch facilitates optimal adhesion between the EVA encapsulant and the other layers of the PV module. This ensures the module’s structural integrity and helps to prevent delamination.
Advantage

The Inorganic EVA Photovoltaic Film Anti-Acidification Masterbatch offers advantages such as extended module lifespan. The masterbatch enhances the life of PV modules by efficiently neutralising acidic chemicals. It inhibits acid-induced degradation, which reduces the need for premature replacements and repairs.

Cost-Effective Solution: The masterbatch’s low and efficient dosage saves manufacturers money. It removes the need for greater doses of additives, lowering production costs.

Improved Module Performance: The masterbatch ensures that the PV module’s performance and efficiency remain consistent throughout time. It prevents efficiency losses due to acidification, allowing for maximum energy generation.

Enhanced Reliability: The masterbatch improves PV module reliability through weather resistance and optimised adhesion. It lowers the chance of performance degradation and module failure.

Environmental Compatibility: The masterbatch is made of inorganic ingredients that are ecologically friendly and meet sustainability criteria. It has little influence on the ecosystem and adheres to strict environmental rules.

Application

Typical application

Used to improve the anti-PID performance of photovoltaic adhesive film.

The masterbatch was developed specifically for use in PV modules and solar energy systems. It is compatible with both crystalline silicon and thin-film PV systems. The masterbatch can be added directly to EVA encapsulant formulations throughout the PV module production process. The suggested dosage ranges between 0.5% and 2% by weight of EVA.

Application Industry

Commercial and Residential Solar Installations: Solar panel manufacturers and installers can add the masterbatch to their EVA encapsulant formulations to improve the acid resistance and longevity of commercial and residential solar panels.

Utility-scale solar farms benefit from the masterbatch’s acid-neutralizing characteristics. It ensures the long-term stability and performance of utility-scale systems while lowering maintenance expenses.

Off-Grid Applications: The masterbatch is suited for off-grid solar applications, such as remote power systems and solar-powered telecommunications devices. It offers dependable acidification protection in harsh situations.

BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics): Architects and building developers can use PV modules with the masterbatch for BIPV applications, which involve integrating solar panels into building facades and roofs. The acid-resistant qualities help to ensure the building’s sustainability and lifespan.
