Products Description
Coace® B1-1 is a maleic anhydride modified polypropylene with high grafting rate.
When it comes to improving the adhesion between infill materials and the polypropylene matrix, coupling agents can be added to the polypropylene base compounds. Some commonly used coupling agents in polypropylene base compounds include:
1.Maleic Anhydride (MAH) Grafted Polymers: These are polymers that have been modified with maleic anhydride to introduce reactive groups that can bond with polar materials such as polyamides. They are used as compatibilizers to improve the adhesion between polyamide and polypropylene blends.
2.Isocyanate-based Coupling Agents: These are coupling agents that contain isocyanate groups which react with functional groups present on the surface of polyamides, such as amino and hydroxyl groups. They are used to improve the adhesion between infill materials and the polymer matrix.
3.Silane-based Coupling Agents: These are coupling agents that contain silane groups which bond with both organic and inorganic surfaces. They are used to improve the adhesion between glass fiber and the polymer matrix in composite materials, which can include blends of polyamides and polypropylene.
Overall, the use of coupling agents or compatibilizers is an effective approach to enhance the adhesion between PA and PP, as well as infill materials and polymer matrix. This can result in improved mechanical and thermal properties of the composite material.
When the grafting rate of the maleic anhydride onto the polypropylene is high, it means that a significant amount of maleic anhydride has been incorporated into the polymer backbone. This results in a copolymer with a higher density of reactive groups available to bond with polar materials, which can improve the adhesion between the polypropylene and other materials in a composite.
The high grafting rate of maleic anhydride onto polypropylene can also result in improved mechanical properties of the copolymer. The addition of maleic anhydride can increase the stiffness and strength of the material, while also improving its thermal stability.
Our coupling agents/compatibilizers are specialized additives made to improve the bonding of polyamide (PA) and polypropylene (PP) materials, as well as between infill materials and the polymer matrix. These goods are essential for enhancing the general effectiveness and longevity of diverse polymer-based applications. Our coupling agents/compatibilizers offer several benefits and find broad applications in sectors like automotive, construction, packaging, and more thanks to their remarkable compatibility and distinctive chemical makeup.

Advantage
- Improved Adhesion: Our coupling agents/compatibilizers greatly increase the adhesion of PA and PP materials, strengthening the connection and enhancing the mechanical characteristics of the composite material. Increased tensile strength, impact resistance, and general durability are all a result of this improved adhesion.
- Greater Compatibility: Our coupling agents/compatibilizers’ special chemical make-up guarantees exceptional compatibility with both PA and PP materials as well as a range of infill materials. Because of this compatibility, the additives may be distributed and dispersed more evenly throughout the polymer matrix, which enhances homogeneity and performance overall.
- Enhanced Thermal Stability: Due to their outstanding thermal stability, our coupling agents and compatibilizers can resist high processing temperatures without degrading. This quality is particularly significant in situations where the composite material is heated during production or usage.
- Improved Impact Resistance: Our coupling agents/compatibilizers increase the impact resistance of the composite material by fortifying the bond between PA and PP components. In applications where impact resistance is crucial, such as automobile components or packing materials, this benefit is especially beneficial.
- Versatile Uses: Our coupling agents and compatibilizers have a wide range of uses in a number of different sectors, including the automotive, building, packaging, and more. They may be used to improve the performance and longevity of a variety of polymer-based goods, including automotive components, pipelines, films, and packaging materials.
