Products Description

Coace® K2C is a chemical modified high density polyethylene with high content of maleic anhydride.

Coace® K2C is a type of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) that has been chemically modified to include a high content of maleic anhydride. Maleic anhydride is a reactive compound that can be used to modify the properties of polyethylene, such as improving adhesion, compatibility with other materials, and toughness.

Characteristic

Coace® K2C offers excellent adhesion to foil, paper and other polar substrates.

  • The modification of HDPE with maleic anhydride can result in improved mechanical properties, such as increased tensile strength, elongation, and impact resistance. It can also enhance the adhesion of the polymer to polar substrates, such as metals or other polymers, making it useful in applications such as coatings, adhesives, and compatibilizers.
  • Coace® K2C is a type of maleic anhydride grafted HDPE, which means that maleic anhydride has been chemically bonded to the polymer chains of the HDPE. This type of modification can result in a more homogeneous distribution of maleic anhydride throughout the polymer matrix, which can lead to more consistent performance and improved properties.
  • Overall, Coace® K2C is a versatile material that can be used in a range of applications, such as films, fibers, injection molding, and extrusion. Its high content of maleic anhydride makes it particularly suitable for applications where improved adhesion or compatibility is desired, while its HDPE base provides good mechanical properties and processability.
