W1X is a type of maleic anhydride graft polymer that has been synthesized by grafting maleic anhydride onto a styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) elastomer as the base material. The maleic anhydride grafting process involves the reaction of maleic anhydride with the SBS elastomer, resulting in the incorporation of maleic anhydride moieties onto the polymer backbone.
