PE-g-MAH series products are maleic anhydride functionalized ethylene polymers, which are mainly used for the modification of ethylene-based matrix polymers. It provides excellent coupling effect between them, and can also react well with polymers containing -NH2, -OH and other groups to achieve the purpose of compatibility between different polymers.

PE-g-MAH (polyethylene grafted maleic anhydride) is obtained by grafting highly reactive maleic anhydride (MAH) monomer through reactive extrusion. Maleic anhydride is referred to as maleic anhydride, which is the acid anhydride of maleic acid. It is the third largest organic chemical raw material after phthalic anhydride and acetic anhydride. It is mainly used in synthetic resins, pesticides, food and other fine chemicals.
The methods of PE grafting MAH (maleic anhydride) mainly include the solution method, melting method, solid-phase method, solid-phase mechanochemical method, photographing method, and suspension method. The advantages of short time and continuous operation have been widely used in actual industrial production.
PE-g-MAH can greatly enhance the interfacial compatibility and interaction force of composite materials, improve the dispersion effect of flame retardant particles in the resin matrix, and at the same time form a plastic interface layer, which can improve the toughness of the material. In addition, PE-g-MAH can improve the hydrophilicity and adhesive properties of PE. At present, PE-g-MAH is widely used in polymer composite materials and is often used as a compatibilizer, dispersant, and binder for polymer composite materials.
