KS-01はスチレンと無水マレイン酸の重合体です。重合により得られる相溶化剤であるため、無水マレイン酸の含有率が比較的高く、AS、ABSなどの相溶化剤として使用できます。 KS-01はスチレンと無水マレイン酸（SMA）の共重合体です。重合によって得られるため、他のSMA誘導体に比べて無水マレイン酸の含有量が比較的高い。そのため、KS-01はアクリロニトリル-スチレン（AS）樹脂やアクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン（ABS）樹脂など、さまざまな材料の相溶化剤として使用できます。
