Coace® B1F is a maleic anhydride modified polypropylene with high grafting rate and ultra-high fluidity.

Maleic anhydride modified polypropylene compatibilizers with ultra-high fluidity are a notable achievement in polymer chemistry. Handling, Storage, and Safety
Coace ® B1F should be stored in dry conditions and protected from UV-light. Improper storage conditions may cause degradation and have consequences on physical properties of the product.

  • Maleic Anhydride Grafting: The primary characteristic of these compatibilizers is the presence of maleic anhydride grafts on the polypropylene chain. This modification introduces polar functional groups, which improves the interaction of PP with polar polymers or fillers.
    Polypropylene Backbone: The base material is polypropylene, which has high tensile qualities, chemical resistance, and low density.
  • Ultra-High Fluidity: These compatibilizers have extremely high melt flow rates, making them easier to process and blend with other polymers or additives.
    Thermal Stability: The grafting procedure ensures that the modified polypropylene remains thermally stable, making it ideal for high-temperature applications.
  • Increased Strength and Toughness: The addition of maleic anhydride increases the mechanical properties of the polymer blends, including tensile strength, impact resistance, and elongation at break.

Polymer Blends: These compatibilizers allow polypropylene to be effectively blended with otherwise incompatible polymers such as polyamides (nylon), polyesters (PET, PBT), and ethylene-vinyl acetate. Maleic anhydride groups produce strong chemical interactions with these polymers’ polar groups, which improves overall mix performance.

Fillers and Reinforcements: They greatly increase the dispersion and adherence of fillers including glass fibers, mineral fillers, and nanoclays in the polypropylene matrix.
