The glycidyl methacrylate grafted polymer known as RM2320 has a white transparent granular appearance and is composed of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer as the matrix material.

In the context of PV adhesive film applications, the glycidyl methacrylate grafted anti-PID additive, which is based on a one-of-a-kind grafted polymer structure with an EVA copolymer matrix, provides a number of significant advantages and benefits.   • Grafted Polymer: The additive is built on a grafted polymer structure, with glycidyl methacrylate chemically attached to the EVA copolymer matrix. This structure helps the additive to be more effective. Through the utilization of this one-of-a-kind structure, the interfacial adhesion and compatibility between the additive and the adhesive film are improved, resulting in enhanced performance and stable properties.
  • Anti-Potential Induced Degradation (PID) capabilities: The product has been developed according to a special formulation that is designed to offer exceptional anti-PID capabilities. These properties effectively mitigate the potential degradation that is induced by PID in PV systems. It contributes to the maintenance of the module’s power output and dependability for an extended period of time, even when operating under difficult conditions.

  • Thermal Stability: The grafted polymer structure makes a contribution to the thermal stability of the adhesive film, which enables it to survive elevated temperatures throughout the production operations of PV modules and while they are in service.

Applicazione tipica

Used to improve the anti-PID performance of photovoltaic adhesive film.

The recommended addition amount is 2 to 5%.
It is best to use a combination of:
1-RM210A: 1% + R2320: 4%.
2-RM208: 2% + R2320: 3%.

Applicazione Industria

The grafted anti-PID additive made from glycidyl methacrylate has uses in a variety of elements in the production of PV adhesive film and PV modules, including the following:
Photovoltaic (PV) Backsheet Adhesive: The additive can be added into the adhesive layer of PV backsheets, which will improve the electrical insulation and adhesion capabilities of the backsheet assembly.

The encapsulant adhesive can be utilized in the adhesive layer of photovoltaic (PV) encapsulants. This improves the adhesion and electrical insulation between the encapsulant and the solar cells, which ultimately results in an increase in the PV module’s reliability and performance.

c. Adhesive for Junction Boxes: The additive can be utilized in the adhesive that is utilized for the purpose of fastening electrical connections in PV junction boxes. This ensures that the glue adheres tightly and provides reliable electrical insulation.
