How to improve the properties of PP and PET blends by grafting maleic anhydride to polypropylene?

The thermoplastics polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polypropylene (PP) are often used and have different qualities. Methods to Improve PP/PET Blend Compatibility

2.1 Blending in Reactivity

In reactive blending, PP, PET, and MAH-grafted PP are directly melted together to distribute the grafting agent uniformly throughout the blend. By using this method, the blend’s compatibility is increased and the interfacial adhesion between the polymer phases is improved.

2.2 Conciliators
