Some uses of grafted SEBS are as follows:
- Polymer coupling agent: used to fill polypropylene composite materials such as glass fiber, talcum powder, calcium carbonate, mica, aluminum hydroxide (magnesium), etc., to improve the compatibility and adhesion between the matrix and the filler interface. Adding 3% to 10% can greatly improve the mechanical properties and thermal resistance of composite materials. Compared with commonly used silane, titanate, aluminate and phosphate ester coupling agents, it has a better effect on improving the mechanical properties of composite materials.
- Polarity enhancer: used to increase polarity, adding 10% to 20% can significantly improve dyeability and paintability.

- A certain amount of maleic anhydride grafted SEBS can greatly increase the notched impact strength and elongation at break of the blend, but the tensile strength and bending strength of the blend show a downward trend. When the amount of maleic anhydride grafted SEBS was 5%, the overall performance of PC/PBT blends was ideal.
- After the maleic anhydride grafted SEBS was added, the Tg of PC in the blend PC/PBT shifted to low temperature, and the Tg difference between the two was further reduced, which improved the compatibility of the blend.
- While improving the impact toughness of PC/PBT blends, maleic anhydride grafted SEBS has no adverse effect on the molding and processability of PC/PBT blends.
