W5A ist ein mit Glycidylmethacrylat gepfropftes Polyolefin-Elastomer, das sich besonders für die Kompatibilisierung und Zähigkeitssteigerung von Polyester- oder Polycarbonatmaterialien eignet.
The thermoplastic elastomer known as Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) uses metallocene as a catalyst to produce a narrow relative molecular weight dispersion and homogeneous distribution of short chain branches. This elastomer’s primary performance is quite noticeable, and its performance indicators in many areas surpass those of regular elastomers.
In situ polymerization of ethylene and octene employing a metallocene catalyst produces POE plastic, a thermoplastic elastomer. These are some of its traits:
(1) The crystalline ethylene chain acts as the physical cross-linking point and the soft crimped chain structure of octene gives it great toughness and processability.
(2) POE plastic offers high aging resistance because its molecular structure lacks unsaturated double bonds.
(3) POE plastic is compatible with polyolefin well and has a limited molecular weight distribution.
(4) Good fluidity not only increases the strength of fusion mark goods but also the dispersion impact of filler.
The polyolefin elastomer in this product has been grafted with glycidyl mathacrylate, making it particularly useful as a toughener and compatibilizer for polyester or polycarbonate materials.Glycidyl methacrylate, a strong polar reactive group, is added to POE to create W5A polyester compatibilizer, a substance with high polarity and reactivity that may be utilized for a variety of purposes, including filling and toughening as well as flame retardancy. The performance of a product can be enhanced by successfully modifying polyester material to increase composite material compatibility and filler dispersion. Additionally, it serves as an alloy compatibilizer for PC and PBT, among other materials.
