Wood plastic composites are materials derived from wood fibers and thermoplastic polymers. The natural incompatibility of wood fibers with polymer matrices frequently leads in poor mechanical characteristics and processability. Coupling agents are added to WPC formulations to promote compatibility and adhesion, resulting in higher mechanical strength and durability.
High fluidity anhydride-modified LLDPE coupling agents are a significant development in the formulation of Wood Plastic Composites.
